SS ALLACH PORCELAIN FIGURE OF A

Allach Porzellanmanufaktur GmbH was founded in 1935 as a subsidiary of the German ceramics company Lorenz Hutschenreuther AG. The company was named after the town of Allach, where it was based. One of the main initiators of the factory was Heinrich Himmler, one of the most important leaders in the Nazi government and the head of the SS.

The goal of establishing the Allach Porzellan factory was to use art for Nazi propaganda. The company’s products were intended to have a patriotic character and evoke the symbolism of the National Socialist German Workers’ Party. As a result, the company’s offerings included figures of German soldiers, leaders, and other figures associated with German history.

After World War II the company ceased to exist, and its assets were taken over by the German state.

Today, Allach Porzellan products are treated as valuable and rare collector’s items, due to their historical value and associations with the World War II period. Many of these products are now on display in museums around the world.

Unique piece of Allach porcelain history, model #18 Karner’s lying ram.
